When I use ArcObjects to select a feature in a layer, it did not work. After that I tried to use the Select By Attribute function in ArcMap and I found something strange:
(1) when I use WHERE ITEM_NO = '2004/09'
No feature selected.

'
i.e. closing single quote on the next line

I cannot understand why, any one know the reason? I am using ArcMap 10.2.2.
UPDATE
(1) I found some of the feature in this layer has the issue, some not.
(2) I also create a new map document with the problem layer only, after that use MXD doctor to analysis on the map, there is no corrupt on the map.
(3) The layer source is orginally from a personal geodatabase, after that I imported it in a sde geodatabase. I tried to use the layer from personal geodatabase and sde geodatabase, results are the same.
(4) If that is the case, how can I use .net arcobjects to select the feature? I tried to add a space in the where clause but no use.
