I’m experiencing a new error that hasn’t occurred before even thought I have been using ArcGIS 10.1, on this laptop, for over a year.
When I go to File>Export Map, ArcMap closes immediately (before any dialog box opens) and I get a “ArcGIS Desktop has encountered a serious application error and is unable to continue” and asks if I want to submit an error report. I’ve tried it multiple times, including after restarting my laptop…i.e. have “tried turning it off and on again” .
This first occurred in a new workspace that I created this week, but I went back and tried to export maps that I have previously exported it didn’t work either, suggesting it’s nothing to do with the actual data files I’m using.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this? Short term I suppose I can crop a screenshot, but that’s obviously not ideal!
