How can I create a raster of a color spectrum out of a RGB?

I try to select a colorspectrum out of a RGB-Layer.
For example, I have a RGB-picture (tif) of a carpark with red,green and blue cars. How do I select or create a new raster/layer with only the red cars or polygons of the red cars? Is this possible?
