How to randomly apply a feature from the attributes table (an area) to a bigger area in ArcGIS 10?

I am rather a beginner at ArcGIS and I have absolutely no idea how to do this. I have to design an agricultural area, which I have the whole of it, but I am not sure which farm plant which crop and so forth. My project also doesn’t contemplate such specific characteristics. However, I have all the data for the different crop production of the area and its relative coefficient to be applied to the study site.
It would be interesting though if I could randomly apply those areas (that I have added in the attributes table) randomly over the whole agricultural area (which is also represented as a Field in the attributes table).
